Let's see...on the big screen:
The Bourne Identity: Not bad, two-and-a-half stars. Matt Damon was ok, and I enjoyed Franka Potente swearing in German.
Spiderman: Not really that good, maybe two stars. No noteable music at all, no recognizeable "spiderman theme", which was surprising.
On the small screen:
Ocean's 11: Pretty good (three stars), and the first movie I've seen that Brad Pitt was in. I'm thinking about picking up a copy of the dvd. The music was well done; could have been too much cheese with lots of Frank & Dean & Sammy. The plot handed out information at the right pace and there were enough twists.
Spy Kids: Not bad (two-and-a-half stars). For a kids' movie, it wasn't terribly dumbed down. Not enough Cheech. Good music, which wasn't surprising.
It is a bit intersting that the soundtrack/music in the film is something I'm commenting on, especially a week or so after seeing the films. The use of the right music in the right place or way seems to be often ignored unless a soundtrack is loaded up with "hit singles" used to bring in more money.
