Ran in the Bucktown 5K on Sunday morning. Didn't get run over. Lots of people there (1000+) running on some narrow, car-lined streets. Nice things about the race: location (never spent much time in the Bucktown area on foot), chip timing (you tie a little plastic thing with a computer chip in it to your shoe, which acts like a little security card, recording the times you cross the start and finish lines), decent food, nice weather, goody bag. Slightly annoying thing: no mile markers (I didn't expect 1- and 2-mile split times, but knowing how far I'd gone so far and being able to compare it with how long I had been running would have been nice). Managed to take more than a minute off of last wek's time, though.
