Assembling California
Great bit of nonfiction about the geology of California. Decided to pick this up for our trip to San Francisco.Finally finished March 10. The final chapter on the events of the 1989 earthquake are quite gripping, actually.
I do enjoy John McPhee's books--it just take a bit more dedication and focus to read them. to

Finally finished yesterday. Good book, one that merits rereading. One review on the back compares it to the work of Jared Diamond or John McPhee, and I agree.
