Not bad. Steve Martin's autobiography is very focused on his career and only a little bit of his personal life. Ends as abruptly as his stand-up career did. Still, a good read.

Assembling California by John McPhee

Assembling California

Great bit of nonfiction about the geology of California. Decided to pick this up for our trip to San Francisco.Finally finished March 10. The final chapter on the events of the 1989 earthquake are quite gripping, actually.

I do enjoy John McPhee's books--it just take a bit more dedication and focus to read them. to

1491: New Revelations of the Americas Before Columbus

Almost forgot about this. Been sitting half read for months. Time to finish it off.

Finally finished yesterday. Good book, one that merits rereading. One review on the back compares it to the work of Jared Diamond or John McPhee, and I agree.
